Getting to Powell River
We will be organizing a carshare from Vancouver up to Powell River early on Friday, aiming to get into town for around noon, ready for some afternoon rides. We have very limited number of seats available in the carshare up (12 max).
If you wish to make your own way to Powell River there are a few options available to you:
- Arrive by plane by flying with Harbour Air, or with Pacific Coastal. Note that baggage is limited on these planes
- Driving up you will need to take two ferries, and we recommend making reservations for the first ferry leaving from Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal (in West Vancouver). The second ferry goes from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay
Schedule
Friday
- Depart Vancouver at 6am
- Arrive in Powell River at noon
(don’t worry, quite a bit of the journey is riding on large ferries, with gorgeous views!) - Eat lunch
- 1:30pm start riding
- 8pm dinner at the OLC
Saturday
- Get up, swim in the lake
- Ride ALL DAY
- There are a LOT of trails to choose from, and we’ll likely break out into different groups depending on skill level and trail preferences
- Clean yourself off in the lake (or in the showers)
- Dinner will be provided at 8pm
Sunday
- Get up, swim in the lake
- Pack your things into a car so that we can wrap up easily after our rides
- Ride until 2pm
